Dr. Aukerman is a faculty member within the Anderson University School of Theology. He has been a member of the faculty since 1984, having come from pastoral ministry. He serves the Seminary as professor of Christian education, director of distance education, chairman of the admissions committee, and web site editor. He enjoys volunteer ministry in the church, serving as a lay leader at Maple Grove Church of God in Anderson, as a volunteer at Operation Love Ministries in Anderson, as a board member and trainer for The LOGOS Ministry, and as chairman of the board of directors for Silent Blessings Deaf Ministries. His hobbies include gardening, Cleveland Indians baseball, and Star Trek (all versions, but his favorite is Deep Space Nine). He has published Christian education articles and curriculum, and is currently working on a major introductory Christian education text book from a Wesleyan holiness perspective.

Dr. Aukerman is a faculty member within the Anderson University School of Theology. Anderson University School of Theology achieved full accreditation by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) in 1965, and continues to maintain that status for all degree programs. Additionally, the School of Theology has received accreditation of all its degrees from the Higher Learning Commission, North Central Association. Membership is also held in several other organizations devoted to quality education.
