Dr. Stephens is a faculty member within the Department of Mathematics at Anderson University. The Department of Mathematics is committed to providing a quality education integrated with caring and personal attention within the framework of a Christian liberal arts environment. Students are mathematically trained for positions in education, business, government, and industry. Furthermore, students are prepared for graduate study in mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, and other disciplines that are mathematically based.

The program has three major objectives: to provide the non-specialist with some understanding of the contributions of mathematics to cultural development; to offer students in natural, social and behavioral sciences the mathematics necessary for understanding their own fields of interest; and to prepare mathematics majors for graduate study, for teaching at the secondary level, or for work in business and industry.
